Will Jesus die and disappear like the earlier gods?

The Greek, Roman and Egyptian gods- Osiris, Dionysus, Mithras, Cybele, Horus, Zeus, Apollo, Adonis, Eros, Hercules, Isis, and thousands of others have died and gone.  Some of them like Zeus and  Apollo were stronger than mighty Yahweh or Allah. Hundreds of Indian nature gods have become defunct or dead too.

Will Jesus die and disappear? He seems to be on shaky grounds. There is no firsthand information about him. Historians do not even mention him. Only the 4 gospels written in Greek (unknown to Jesus or his disciples) a century after his death (adopted by the early church out of the many existing story-books) speak about him. There is no eye-witness account and the gospel writers are ignorant of the details of Jesus’ life until he is 30 (except that like Buddha he had a scholarly debate with the Jewish scholars in the Jerusalem Temple when he was twelve.) They contradict each other in their birth related stories and many others.

The authors try hard to prove some vague prophesies about a mighty King who will redeem the Jews form their slavery. Paul’s epistles mention nothing of an earthly Jesus who  preaches for 1 year as per the synoptic gospels and for 2 years or more as per John. In his public life, he spoke against the hypocrite deeds of the Pharisees and Scribes who pressurized the Romans to crucify him.He did not speak about redeeming people from their ‘original sin’ in his whole life; Paul invented the doctrine of redemption. Even the OT does not even mention once god’s plan to redeem humans from it.

How do we know whether Jesus lived or anything about him if he lived. Jesus was a common name and Christ a title of the times. According to many scholars Jesus did not live at all. Virgin birth, miracles and resurrection were common characteristics of the Near East mythological gods. Gospels mythologized:the common stuff of the mythical gods got filled with new names, places and other details. There are others who think that it could be possibly a controversial firebrand Jewish rabbi lived by name Yeshua who gathered a following that grew into Christianity after his death.

Poor Yeshua (Jesus)
Yeshua could have been born to Mary and Joseph. Gospels ascribe his fatherhood to Yahweh, the Jewish God. His parents could have circumcised him as per the Jewish laws (remember the covenant of Yahweh with Abraham) and he grew up with his brothers James, Joseph (Joses), Judas (Jude) and Simon and unnamed sisters (Mark 6:3, Mathew 13: 55-56). It is not clear whether Yahweh fathered the brothers and sisters also –there is no mention of it in any of the gospels-or he left the job to Joseph who accepted Mary although he had been cuckolded early. Many of the early Christians and scholars like Tertullian (160-225AD) considered the brothers and sisters were children of Mary and Joseph. The latter was a carpenter and Jesus evidently got apprenticed to this trade. He grew up a Jewish boy among the Jews. He studied the Jewish scriptures first at home and then in the synagogue.

With his fiery eloquence and steadfastness, he got a few rustic followers anywhere he went and there were a few women who really got attracted to him too. The beautiful Mary of Bethany -in all probability Mary Magdalene-who lived a sinful life, was the most conspicuous. She anointed Jesus by pouring the contents of an alabastron jar of nard (or spikenard), a very expensive perfume, which angered some of the onlookers especially Judas who felt the perfume could have been sold for a year's wages—300 denarii—and the money given to the poor!  But Jesus liked the whole episode and Mary became dearer to him. By loving a prostitute of his time he became a revolutionary.

Jesus and Mary got into a relationship that ended up in marriage. They had a few children but the ardent gospel writers wanted to make the preacher-god a virgin unlike his own father who was quite virulent. But the gospels do mention he was a Jewish rabbi and hence he had to have a family (a wife and children). He is addressed as a rabbi in Matthew 26:25, 49; Mark 9:5; 14:45; John 1:38, 49; 3:2; 4:31). The gospels also mention about Mary’s decision to visit his body on the Sunday after the Crucifixion-to wash and anoint it. Scholars feel women of Jesus’ times never washed male bodies. Only males did it-unless you were the man’s wife. Mary washed and anointed his body as she was his wife.

“The Lost Gospel”(based on a manuscript written in 570AD on Vellum–treated animal skin-in Syriac, a language closely linked to Aramaic(spoken by Jesus) found in the British Library reveal many things previously unknown. Professor Barrie Wilson -a professor of religious studies in Toronto- and writer Simcha Jacobovici  an Israeli-Canadian film-maker who translated the text-feel the sources have enough evidence to prove Jesus and Mary were married and they had two sons named Manessah and Ephrain. Bible never commented on his married life. It wanted to project him as a chaste god.
The whole story of Jesus is weak compared to that of Allah. Mohammed heard directly from his god, Allah and he lived truly to what he taught. It is possible that Islam will outlive Christianity. This is evidenced by the rejection of Christianity and Jesus by the developed world. No Muslim nation has become weak in their faith.

Catholic journalist Damian Thompson speculates that at the present rate of decline, Anglicanism will disappear from Britain by 2033. Roman Catholics decline too but at a lesser rate due to the inflow of Catholic immigrants from poor nations. In Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Spain, Iceland, Belgium, Switzerland and Uk Christians have already become a minority. Even former catholic nations like Ireland, Brazil and many others are rejecting Jesus. There are very few church goes in the old western Christian world.

It is pretty obvious why Christians reject Jesus. His story is made up; its fundamental principles  are nonsense. Why did god will the test for the first parents knowing well  they would fail? He punished them enough and more; why did he then pass the sin to the coming generations? God could have just ignored a simple disobedience. How can the punishment meted out by the rulers become atonement for the sins of humans? Christians turned against god's chosen tribe and persecuted them! Jesus is on shaky grounds.
